There are only a few hours in a day that I drink from my kegerator. I feel like all that extra time using electricity for cooling is a waste of money.
I'm considering putting a simple timer on my power outlet to turn off the kegerator from say, 12am-3pm. Does anyone here currently do something like this? Any noticeable flavor impact on cooling and warming your homebrew from 40f to 60f daily?
Edit: I should add, I am using what I assume to be an energy-inefficient commercial kegerator (Continental Refrigerator KC24-SS).
