I took it out of the freezer that day and put it in the refrigerator. It's been in there ever since untouched. The rest of my family and I all got sick for the past 3 or 4 days, so I hadn't even gotten a chance to check on it. I just checked it and it is still pretty darn frozen. I'm not sure if it matters, but this fridge is in my garage where it is pretty cold.
Anyway, I'm not making this turkey for tomorrow at this point, but is there something that I can do to better plan in the future? I mean, 8 days seems like plenty of time to thaw out a turkey based on all of the info I've seen online.
