So my grandmother was kind enough to send some money to me for Christmas and my girlfriend and I decided we need a new fridge. Parts of the door have cracked and the door shelves fall off if we close it too fast with a full gallon of milk and/or juice on the door. I am thinking of getting something in the $1500 range but might go up to $2000 if I am really going to get a worthwhile value for the extra money.
I have lived in my house for 3 years and most of the appliances were there when we moved it. All were GE Brand. I had to get a washer when I first moved in and a new dryer last year also GE brand and haven't had any issues with them so far. I am open to going with another brand. I don't need stainless steel but I have liked the idea of the french door models. My girlfriend is obsessed with condiments and literally fills an entire main shelf with them. I get annoyed because I can never find anything I am looking for due to the sheer number of condiments in the fridge. Something to help organize would be wonderful.
Also I can't decide if I should keep the old fridge to store beer in the basement and have extra freezer space or try selling it on craigslist to buy a chest freezer. If this belongs in another subreddit let me know and I'll just post it there. Thanks everyone.
