I am hoping to find out some additional information for my mother. Here is the story:
My mother was a injured in the Zion Square bombing in 1975. At the time she was hospitalized for her wounds from the shrapnel. She had surgeries and was eventually discharged. Some years later she moved to the US and got on with her life. Now all these years later she is having pain in her face from apparent nerve damage and she went to have an MRI. It turns out she still has shrapnel (metal) in her face that could be the cause of her pain.
Is there any current program to help out victims of terror? Is there a time frame that the claim would have needed to be filed?
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
