I don't understand why people like the aesthetics of classic cars. self

I'm not trying to put anyone down or anything, but the vast majority of cars older than say '92 or something looks hideous to me. those horrible refrigerator-on-wheels looking boxy 80s car's, the ridiculous fins and protrusions and canvas on older cars make them look like toys to me. Is this just because I'm ony 20 and today's cars are the ones I grew up with?

I've heard a lot of car aficionados say every car today looks the same, but I don't get it. first of all every car faces the same constraints with regards to safety and aerodynamics, so that makes sense, there are ony a few shapes that are aerodynamically efficient, and the teardrop shape that most cars have nowadays is one of the best. And they look sleek and modern to me, smooth, whooshing curves, no extravagant protrusions or unnecessary corners and edges, just functional curves.

I've yet to meet anyone who thinks like I do. I just wish someone could explain to me the aesthetics of older cars.
