[Hiring] (Seattle Area - Woodinville, WA) Software Tester/Quality Assurance forhire

We are a software consulting and developing company in Woodinville. Until now, we have distributed testing duties between existing staff are now needing a single person to take over all testing duties. In this role, you will work closely with the software designers and programmers to ensure the software is meeting requirements and adheres to our standards.


Duties & Responsibilities



  • Review design documents for accuracy.

  • Develop test plans and individual software test scripts.

  • Execute daily software test plans and scripts, as well as ad hoc testing, report results and observations to program managers.

  • Ensure the software we develop meets or exceeds our quality objectives and functions correctly.

  • Find, isolate, and report defects.

  • Convert "Bugs" into reproducible test plans.

  • Take ownership of quality in products.

  • Review and provide input into software specification requirements.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Experience & Knowledge



  • 2+ years' experience in software testing

  • Ability to develop clear, concise, and timely oral and written reports.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills to effectively translate ideas, concepts and information.


Specialized Knowledge and Skills



  • Excellent analytic skills coupled with a high level of initiative and responsibility.

  • Experience with Selenium or other test automation software.

  • Ability to effectively execute in a high-pressure environment.

  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.

  • Proven ability to work in a dynamic multi-disciplinary team environment.

  • Proven relationship building skills.
