My friend is a male, young professional looking for a roommate for a two bedroom/one bathroom apartment in Cleveland Park. Existing roommate just moved out (he left town) so he is looking for someone starting December 1 or shortly thereafter (or sooner). The apartment is one of ten in a building that is a 5 minute walk from the Cleveland Park metro station (red line) which is only a 10 minute or less ride to Metro Center. The building has washers and dryers in the basement, a lockable storage unit, and a gym with treadmills and free weights.
The neighborhood has a mix of bars, restaurants, and local retailers including two small grocery stores and is located about a 10 minute walk from the Zoo.
The updated unit is ~750 sq. ft with a fully loaded kitchen (granite counter top, stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and full size refrigerator/freezer). There is also a European washing machine in the hall closet. The living room is furnished (with my furniture) with a flat screen TV. The bedroom has a spacious walk-in closet and room for a queen bed.
Rent is $1,300 not including utilities (another ~$75-$100 per month). The new tenant will need to complete a background check and pay application fee as well for the management company.
My friend also has a 2 year old cat who is very friendly.
