After 10 months of planning constructions & hard work, the proof of concept test plant is finished & working at full capacity. Current production stands at around 10L per day, from nothing more than seawater & sand.
The primary use of the aerogel will be in the medical sector, as a lightweight insulator for mobile pseudo-refrigerators. Some product will go into the construction sector as well, for insulation. A small portion is sent off for military research due to its high strength to weight ratio.
Better processing is hoped to be achieved with this breakthrough, as well as a possible new start to the chemical industry. Further plans for Sulfuric acid & other large scale plants are now in the drafting stage.
Plans for a new grid network are on pause until Suerestos has finalized its borders, although there are many rumors of Cochabamba getting a generator plant.
