Why do so refrigerators seem to have this particular texture? answers


This is what I'm talking about. I know not all fridges have this, but a lot do and it seems to be pretty much just a fridge thing. I never really thought about it until I noticed the same tecture was on the side of my oven which looked odd an out of place. Is there a function for this texture? The only thing I can imagine is that possibly it holds up magnets better by adding friction to the magnetism that's holding things on there.
