Our refrigerator suddenly keeps turning off the GCFI. We tried plugging it into another circuit and it turns off on that one as well. No other appliance plugged in.
Does it sound like something wrong with the fridge? Or sudden electrical problem?
It's maytag- maybe 10ish years old.
We had an appliance repair person come and he noticed we had a lot of frost build up in freezer- but we cleared that all out and it's continuing to trip- although it made the fridge cooler again (it suddenly started being warmer when we loaded the freezer up too much and blocked vents or something)
He didnt really check anything else out- and were just not sure it's an electrical problem - don't want to pay someone else $100-200 to come and tell us we need a new fridge.
Dishwasher hasnt been washing dishes as well for awhile. Appliance repair person said to try running vinegar in it to clean out. We also took apart to clear out any stuck debris.
When we run it it makes a really loud sort of stuck/grinding noise- it also makes the water not come out of sink (next to it)- I suspect maybe it's not getting enough water or water pressure? Is that a thing? I wasnt around to ask the repair person and my husband didnt ask. He just said it wasnt worth it for him to fix and we should buy a new one. Thoughts?
Thank you!
