Power shut off while away for 2 months, advice on what to do with possibly rotten refrigerator appliancerepair

I have been away from home for two months and my power was shut off for about that same time (bill was on auto pay, credit card expired and forgot to set up the auto pay with new cc).

Before leaving I cleaned out most of the stuff in the fridge, mainly things that expire quickly like milk, meat, cheese, produce...etc but I do think that I left a few things in jars or containers. I am not sure what is awaiting for me inside that fridge when I come back but I wanted to ask you all any advice on how to handle that situation.

Should I even open the fridge when I get back to see whats in there? or should I tape it shut and get rid of it all together. Im prepared to get a new fridge if it is needed.
