I tried making a beef stew this weekend, but had a problem refrigerating it. After I let it cool down for ~3 hours, I took the stone-pot out of the Crock-Pot and sealed the top with plastic wrap. Then I put it in the refrigerator. But the next day, the stew seems to have gotten mushier and there is yellow crust built on top of the stew.
I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but don't know where to pinpoint my mistake. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated!
