Leasing a condo, has a Whirlpool Gold GC5SHEXNS05 side by side fridge in it. It runs constantly. The owner had already scheduled a friend who does service to come in and the guy replaced an internal board, saying that would resolve the issue. However it still runs 23 hours a day. When I asked the tech, he said that the new fridges are like a very small car, very small engine so it has to run all the time to cool but it takes very little electricity to keep running. Stuff has been freezing set on 37f, but not that often. Is this true, should it be running all the time, or does it need further repair? (I've never had a fridge that ran all the time and I have owned newer refrigerators). Thanks!
