What Should I Be Looking For? GoRVing

I'm not sure what exactly my next steps are. I'd much rather get an older Class B RV with many of my requirements, but I'd be willing to put in a lot of work and do a full conversion with a van or box truck. Ideally I can find something in the middle and upgrade myself.

Requirements:

  • For Class B or Van, $30k or under total budget
  • Be able to get to living area from driver/passenger area
  • 6'0 person can stand upright when cooking
  • Bed for 2 people (57"W+x77"L+) with enough height for sexy times
  • Space for 2 people to sit to eat or work on a laptop
  • AC/heat (expect temperature ranges to be 20-100F)...won't likely go anywhere extremely cold
  • At least 1 window in back
  • Exhaust fan
  • Flushable toilet
  • Shower
  • Kitchen sink
  • Gray/black water tank
  • Refrigerator
  • Microwave
  • Stove/burner
  • Water and shore power electrical hookup
  • Better than 12 MPG
  • Under 20.5' long
  • Fully insurable

Nice To Haves:

  • Will paint totally gray or white
  • Look somewhat industrial for stealth
  • 4x4 (not AWD)
  • Outdoor shower if real dirty or for dishes
  • Front seats swivel
  • Solar (Don't really care about generator)
  • Ability for car to power batteries
  • Small oven
  • Slim tall fridge/freezer
  • Space under bed for storage ideally in back
  • Two doors on back to access storage and bed in back raised up

I guess I'm just looking for some thoughts on:

  • Specific year/models so I save searches for on CL and ebay?
  • Other websites besides RV trader to keep an eye open?
  • Any recommendation for people that are good with spec'ing/designing upgrades/conversions?
  • If you feel really strongly that I need a trailer RV (I have a 2005 Silverado 1500) due to my budget I guess I'd be willing to consider it...what brands are worth looking for?

Thanks everyone!
