How long can I expect reagents to be “good”?
I bought a kit with Marquis, Mandelin, Mecke, and Simon's a few months ago. I’ve kept it in a lightproof box in the refrigerator.
When I got it out to use it this week, everything is (I think?) a different color than when it was new... The Mecke is nearly black, the Marquis is brown, the Mandelin is green, and the Simon's A is amber (Simon's B is clear)...
I don’t remember for sure that they weren’t already those colors, but I wanna say no?
I did loan the kit a couple of months ago... Maybe the person I loaned it to touched the droppers to whatever he was testing and contaminated them?
Are the reagents still usable, or do I need a new kit?
