I am making the tea from the mostly-yellow banana peel. In my slow cooker there is stuff burned on the bottom so that is currently soaking in the vinegar, nor am I allowed to wash it now. So is it okay to cold-brew banana peel tea, or to heat up the vinegar and will that prevent the burned stuff from coming off and not put a vinegar flavor in the tea? And do I have to put the jars in the refrigerator if it is cold brew or can I leave them in the room?
