So we bought this house in July and the appliances came with it. The Whirlpool fridge stopped dispensing water and making ice maybe a month after we moved in. It's been on the back burner as we have been taking care of all the other various projects and repairs that come with moving into a new home.
The first thing I did was check the water line to the fridge. It is a plastic line and in checking it kinked it and put a tiny hole in it. So I changed the fitting on the plastic line and made sure water flows through to the fridge. The next thing I did was change the water filter in case it was clogged. After changing the water filter we got a small amount of water dispensed, but went back to it later in the day got nothing again.
Could a water line be frozen? I'm tempted to take everything out and unplug the fridge to thaw it out. What else can I do to find out why my water isn't making it to the dispenser? Thanks,
