One crisp November morning, Norman went downstairs to check his mail. Amid the usual coupons and catalogs, he noticed something out of the ordinary. It was a slightly stiff, square-shaped envelope. His name and address were carefully handwritten across the front. This certainly isn't a utility bill, Norman thought as he looked over the mysterious rose-colored envelope. I wonder who would send me a card? It's not even my birthday.
Curious and a little excited, Norman tore open the paper. Inside was a glossy greeting card with the words "Happy Thanksgiving!" printed across a picture of pumpkins and autumn leaves. Norman opened the card and read, "We give thanks for friends, family, and the bounty of the past year. Please visit our website and we'd love to see you here in our dealership. Sincerely, Chevrolet."
Norman exhaled. What a lovely gesture, he thought. Norman returned to his apartment and, using a magnet, hung the card on his refrigerator. It was, after all, a nice picture.
